This savory asparagus and ham danish will be your favorite go to brunch meal. The saltiness from the ham, creaminess from the cheese and Dijon mustard makes it craveable!
Savory Asparagus & Ham Danish
Ingredients:
1 sheet puff pastry (found in freezer section)
3 Tablespoon dijon mustard
10 -12 thin slices honey roasted ham (found in deli section)
10-12 spears asparagus
1 cup gruyere cheese, shredded
Method:
Trim and wash asparagus buy bending one spear until it snaps. Line up the other asparagus and cut it to the same length. Rinse in cold water and pat dry
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Place parchment paper on a sheet tray
Gently lay the puff pastry on the parchment covered sheet tray
Spread dijon mustard on surface ensuring its covered side to side
lay ham on top of dijon mustard leaving a 1/2 inch frame around the edges
place washed and trimmed asparagus on top pf the ham
Roll the outside of the puff pastry in, pinching as you turn.
Sprinkle with shredded cheese
Bake for 30-35 minutes until the puff pastry is golden brown
Remove from oven and let sit for 5-10 minutes
Serve warm or at room temperature
